Day 243 from Nata to Kasane
Kasane, Botswana
One of the defining highlights of the VW ID. Buzz World Tour awaited just beyond Nata. Directly beside the national road lies Elephant Sands Camp, where the first encounter with a male elephant took place. With remarkable calm, the animal moved around the waterhole, completely undisturbed. The setting offered the opportunity to capture striking GTI Tyres brand imagery, bringing together wildlife, landscape, and modern mobility in a powerful visual moment.
Continuing north, gazelles and ostriches were spotted roaming freely across the open plains, reinforcing the vastness and authenticity that characterize this region of Botswana.
In the evening, an encounter with a group from Cologne added a shared sense of adventure. The travelers had journeyed along the West African coastline in off-road vehicles before reaching Botswana, creating an immediate connection through similar experiences on the road.
The day concluded with a charging session supported by Botswana Power Corporation. Sincere appreciation is extended for this support, which played a meaningful role in enabling this extraordinary stage of the journey.
