Four Countries, Eight Borders and One Unexpected Baron

Day 5: Prague, Czech Republic

From Latvia to Poland

Day 5 of the ID. Buzz World Tour began in Riga, Latvia, where the team was welcomed by Gints and the Giti Latvia team. The morning included a short interview, photos, and traditional Latvian snacks to take on the road. Latvia marked the seventh official country of the journey.

On the way south, the team made an unplanned stop at the historic residence of Baron Münchhausen. From there, they continued overnight into Lithuania and reached Poland by morning, bringing the country count to eight.

Partner Meetings and Road Moments

In Warsaw, the team visited Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Poland and met with Thomas from Giti Poland. A quick stop at the Palace of Culture and Science followed before the team continued into Czechia, the ninth country on the route.

Just across the Czech border, they crossed paths with a Swedish couple dealing with a puncture. Further down the road, they waved down a classic VW T3 driven by participants in the Baltic Rally from Konstanz, adding a spontaneous and friendly moment to the day.

Arrival in Prague

On arrival in Prague, the team was greeted by Jaroslav from Giti Czech Republic. He was joined by a mobile tyre service technician who performed an on-site tyre pressure check. The inspection confirmed that the GitiSynergyH₂ tyres remain in excellent shape after thousands of kilometres on the road.

Next stop: Luxembourg.
