Day 49: Aktobe
After three weeks of waiting, the ID. Buzz finally disembarked from the ferry in Kuryk, marking the official restart of the ID. Buzz World Tour in Central Asia. The team regrouped in Aktau, where the cameraman arrived at the local airport—ready to document the next leg of the journey.
Leaving Aktau under clear skies, the route led straight into the vast expanse of the Kazakh desert. The landscape was stark and hypnotic, stretching in all directions with little interruption. Along the way, the team encountered two Italian travellers who stopped to learn more about the tour, sharing a few photos before parting ways.
The roadside view included grazing camels and horses, iconic silhouettes in the desert’s stillness. One unexpected moment came during a brief stop when a local Kazakh man proudly showed off his silver tooth, creating a lighthearted memory along an otherwise rugged path.
Charging infrastructure remained reliable. The vehicle reached 80 kilowatts during a stop in Aktau and also made use of the mobile Stoida unit, which performed without issue. The ability to recharge independently continued to prove valuable in remote areas.
Next stop: Uzbekistan.
