The day began with a quiet night drive into Croatia, adding another country to the growing list. The focus was on reaching a key IONITY charger — the last one in the region — and ensuring the ID. Buzz was fully topped up for the demanding terrain ahead.
A Quick Stop in Montenegro
By morning, the team entered Montenegro and made a brief but smooth stop at the Volkswagen dealership in Podgorica. With the vehicle recharged and the team rehydrated, the route continued south.
Energy and Warm Welcomes in Tirana
The road into Albania offered a dramatic shift in scenery. As the team arrived in Tirana, the temperature climbed, and the streets grew livelier. At the Volkswagen dealership, the crew was greeted with cold drinks, hot food and a warm welcome. It was a quick but refreshing reset before the next mountain stage.
Through the Hills to Kosovo and North Macedonia
From Tirana, the route climbed through rugged terrain, offering spectacular views across the Balkans. The roads wound tightly between peaks, but the ID. Buzz handled the journey with ease.
By nightfall, the team had crossed into Kosovo and continued on to North Macedonia. Thanks to support from Volkswagen, another fast charger was waiting — a well-timed recharge to end a long day on the road.
