Arrival in the United Kingdom
Day 7 marked the arrival in the fifteenth country of the ID. Buzz World Tour. After crossing the Channel, the team spent the night at a charging station in Dover, giving both the ID. Buzz and the crew time to recharge.
A Stop in Stratford-upon-Avon
The morning drive north included a stop in Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. While exploring the village, the team met Phil, a fellow VW enthusiast travelling in a classic T2 bus. It was a great moment shared between generations of Volkswagen fans.
Partner Visit in Northwich
From Stratford, the team travelled to Northwich for a visit with Giti Tire UK. It was an opportunity to connect with the local team and reflect on how far the vehicle and tyres have already travelled since the tour began in Germany.
Detours and Scenic Roads
The route toward Holyhead, the next ferry port, was met with unexpected road closures that led to several detours through villages and countryside. While unplanned, the narrow roads and quiet lanes offered a scenic drive filled with British character.
