Day 2: Oslo, Norway
The second day of the ID. Buzz World Tour took the team from Hamburg toward Oslo, with several important milestones along the way — including their first international border crossing and the first in-person meeting with a key project partner.
Partner Visit: Autolink
The day began with a visit to Autolink, one of the logistical partners supporting the ID. Buzz World Tour. Autolink is playing a vital role in planning the route through the Caucasus region and helping to organise the complex ferry crossing over the Caspian Sea later in the journey. The team was welcomed by Alex and Claudia, who provided a warm reception and key insights into the road ahead.
Onward Through Denmark and Sweden
After a brief sightseeing stop in Hamburg, the team headed north, stopping in Flensburg for a quick charge before reaching the border with Denmark — officially marking the first international crossing of the world tour.
Just past the border, two helpful Danish shop assistants confirmed the crossing for the record, an important part of the formal route documentation.
In Copenhagen, the team met with Volkswagen Denmark at a modern urban charging station, complete with 150kW fast charging and a relaxed street food courtyard. The warm weather and friendly atmosphere made for a memorable stop and a chance to recharge both the ID. Buzz and the crew.
Later that night, the vehicle crossed the iconic Øresund Bridge from Denmark into Sweden, the second country on the official route.
Next stop: Oslo, Norway.
