Day 9: London, United Kingdom
Visit to Volkswagen UK
The day began in Milton Keynes with a visit to Volkswagen UK. The team was welcomed by the local team and spent the morning discussing progress on the tour so far, upcoming milestones, and joint content creation for web and social media. Like the stop in Ireland, this visit helped strengthen regional ties and visibility for the project.
Stop at Guinness World Records
From Milton Keynes, the team continued on to London and made their way into the city centre with the required Congestion Zone permit for the ID. Buzz. The destination was the headquarters of Guinness World Records, where the team met with staff to discuss the ongoing progress of the tour.
While there, the crew received an official eyewitness certificate, recognising this segment of the tour as part of the formal record-setting process. They were also given copies of the latest Guinness World Records editions as a memento of the visit.
Driving Through Central London
Before departing the city, the team took time to drive the ID. Buzz through central London. Surrounded by electric vehicles and iconic landmarks, the atmosphere was a strong reflection of the city’s shift toward sustainable mobility. The route offered a unique opportunity to see how the ID. Buzz and GitiSynergyH₂ tyres perform in a dense urban environment.
Next stop: Paris.
