From Monaco to Rome – Coastal Tunnels, Fruit Stalls and the Smallest Country in the World

Day 13: Rome, Italy

From Monaco to the Mediterranean Coast

Following an overnight arrival in Monaco, the team took a moment for a quick stop at the famous Formula 1 race track before setting off toward Rome. The route between Monaco and Genoa runs along the coast, with a driving rhythm shaped by one tunnel after another — a unique stretch of road that made the journey both scenic and technical.

A Coastal Break and Refuel

Along the way, the team paused by the sea for a short break. A visit to a roadside fruit stall added some much-needed fresh produce to the day. Small moments like these make a difference over long days behind the wheel.

Arrival in Vatican City

Reaching Rome, the team entered the 21st country of the ID. Buzz World Tour with a stop at Vatican City. Greeted on arrival, the team had the rare opportunity to take photographs of the ID. Buzz in front of St. Peter’s Basilica — made even more memorable by the absence of crowds, thanks to authorised vehicle access within the city-state.

A Quick Look at the Colosseum

Before continuing the journey, the team passed the Colosseum on the way out of Rome. Another world landmark added to the growing list of stops across the tour’s European leg.

Next stop: San Marino.
