Day 11: Lisbon, Portugal
From France to Spain
After departing Paris, the ID. Buzz World Tour continued south toward Madrid. On arrival, the team was welcomed by Volkswagen Spain, joined by Giti Tire and a representative from IFM. The visit included a casual breakfast meeting where the team shared progress, discussed upcoming stages, and showcased the vehicle.
Arrival in Portugal
Following the Madrid stop, the team headed further west to Lisbon. As the westernmost destination of the European leg, Lisbon marks a key point in the tour’s progress across the continent.
Upon arrival, the crew was welcomed by Volkswagen Portugal and local sponsors, including Giti Tire. The day concluded with a shared dinner, offering a chance to reflect on the tour so far and prepare for the next chapters.
A Charging Record and a Landmark Crossing
This leg of the journey also included a technical milestone. On the road to Lisbon, the ID. Buzz reached a new tour record with a peak charging speed of 198 kW — the highest recorded on the journey to date.
The team departed Lisbon by crossing the Vasco da Gama Bridge, with views of the Atlantic marking the symbolic halfway point across Europe.
Next stops: Andorra, Monaco and Vatican City.
