Day 15: Salzburg to Győr via Bratislava
Morning at MOONCITY, Salzburg
The day began at MOONCITY in Salzburg, a mobility and charging innovation hub supported by Giti’s charging partner MOON. The team made the most of the high-speed charging facilities and took time to regroup before heading east. With the ID. Buzz recharged and the team refuelled, the journey continued toward Vienna.
A Quick Visit in Vienna
The next stop was Porsche Wien-Liesing. Despite the name, the site has no link to vehicle leasing. The team caught up briefly with local staff, captured a few photos, and kept moving to stay on track with the day’s full schedule.
Media Interest in Bratislava
In Bratislava, the crew was welcomed by Volkswagen Slovakia. Jan, the press spokesperson, expressed strong interest in the record attempt and invited a small group of journalists to hear more about the tour. The conversation covered everything from logistics to tyre performance and recent highlights across the route.
Dinner in Győr with IFM
Running behind schedule, the team made a delayed arrival in Győr, Hungary. There, they were met by representatives from sponsor IFM. Despite the late hour, the welcome was warm and the evening wrapped up over a shared dinner in the city’s old town centre. It was a relaxed setting to connect, share stories and look ahead to the next leg of the journey.
With the vehicle charged and the route to Belgrade loaded into the system, the team closed the day ready for the next stage.
