Day 254 from Ngara to Kigali, Rwanda
Rwanda
Early in the morning, a short stop was made in Burundi before the journey continued toward Rwanda. Heavy rain accompanied the drive, and the landscape gradually became more mountainous along the route.
Around midday, the border into Rwanda was reached. At this point, a farewell was said to the electrician, Mr. Maskuz, who had accompanied the tour through Tanzania and supported the charging of the VW ID. Buzz throughout the country. His guidance, support, and dedication played an important role during this stage of the journey.
Entering Rwanda marked a noticeable change in surroundings. Well-developed bicycle lanes, neatly maintained roadsides, and a high number of bicycles immediately stood out. Bicycles are one of the primary means of transportation, often heavily loaded and used to carry a wide range of goods.
In the evening, charging was completed once again at a regular charging station, bringing the day to a close.
Next stop: Kigali, Rwanda!
