Day 77: Hefei to Changsha
Departure from Hefei
Leaving Hefei behind, the route began with a sweeping view of modern infrastructure. Towering residential complexes dominated the skyline—massive developments that spoke to the scale of urban life across this part of China.
Contrasts on the Road
Amidst the steady stream of traffic, overloaded tuk-tuks continued to appear—small, functional, and ever-present. As the landscape changed, dense urban clusters gave way to quieter stretches of farmland and rural roads. The shift was gradual but unmistakable. For hours at a time, the road unfolded with almost no sign of buildings or towns.
Arrival in Changsha
By early evening, the ID. Buzz reached Changsha. A city that blends tradition with fast-paced modern life, Changsha marked another important point in the journey across China. The tour continues south through the heart of the country.
