Day 246 from Lusaka to Kapiri Mposhi
Lusaka, Zambia
Following a brief charging stop with energy provider ZESCO, the route led to the German Embassy in Lusaka. Along the way, the opportunity was taken to wash the vehicle. High speed bumps on the approach required careful maneuvering, with the vehicle occasionally coming very close to the ground.
At the embassy, a warm welcome was extended by the German ambassador and Zambia’s Minister of Tourism. After the presentation, the journey continued in the direction of Tanzania.
Long stretches of dusty roads and heavy truck traffic defined this demanding stage, shaping the character of the drive. In the evening, the vehicle was once again charged with the support of Zambia’s national power provider.
