Paris Stop with Traffic, Charging and a Photo at the Eiffel Tower

Day 10: Paris, France

Arrival in Calais and the Drive to Paris

Following an overnight ferry crossing from Dover, the team arrived in Calais early in the morning. The first order of business was a visit to a charging station before continuing toward the next destination: Paris.

The approach to the city brought familiar challenges. The final 15 kilometres into central Paris took nearly two hours, but the team arrived in time for a scheduled meeting with Volkswagen France.

City Visit and ID. Buzz Pairing

In Paris, the team was welcomed by Nicolas from Volkswagen France. A highlight of the visit was a joint drive through the city, with Nicolas behind the wheel of a red ID. Buzz and the tour vehicle following in the yellow Long Wheelbase version.

The route included a stop at one of the most iconic landmarks in the world: the Eiffel Tower. The contrast between the electric ID. Buzz and the towering structure made for a memorable photo opportunity, capturing the spirit of the tour in a single frame.

Sponsor Visit and Departure

Before leaving the city, the team met with representatives from Giti Tire France. It was an opportunity to reconnect and reflect on the tour’s progress across the first ten countries.

After the meetings, the team departed Paris and continued the journey south.

Next stop: Madrid.
