Racing into the New Year – Giti Competition Tyres Tread Firmly into 2025 as Official Race Tyre for FRMEC and F4ME

Racing into the New Year, Giti Tire proudly returns as the official race tyre for the Formula Regional Middle East Championship and Formula 4 Middle East in 2025.

Bringing together the world’s top young drivers, Giti supports the exciting future growth of promising young drivers.

As one of the first official FIA races of the year, the Formula Regional Middle East Championship and the Formula 4 Middle East mark the start of an exciting year of motorsport around the world and the start of Giti Tire’s 2025 motorsport season.

Bringing together the world’s top young drivers, these races not only give motorsport enthusiasts a taste of what is to come in the year but also a glimpse into the exciting future of these promising drivers.

Giti Tire returns in 2025 as the official race tyres for the FRMEC and F4ME, providing teams with the most advanced competition tires developed to deliver top performance, with excellent road grip and stability.

“The GitiCompete GTR1 tyres used in the races have excellent road grip, are stable and easy to control, allowing drivers to go faster around corners and even faster on straights”, shared Mr Mark Zhu, Motorsport Manager at Giti Tire. “The FRMEC and F4ME competitions bring together the world’s top young drivers. This combination of talent and challenges of the tracks pushes the limits of man and machine, making these races the best testing ground for these ultimate-performance tyres. The cumulative experiences and data from these races will help us further develop our technologies and improve our range of civilian tires.”

The 2025 season brings 55 young races to the Yas Marina Circuit and the Dubai Autodrome in the United Arab Emirates. Still, this year poses a new challenge to drivers, cars and tyres as the race ventures into Doha, Qatar, at the Lusail International Circuit. This 5.4-kilometer track features predominantly straight, medium- and high-speed corners. The Lusail International Circuit is an exciting contrast to the sharp turns of the tracks in the UAE and presents a contrasting opportunity for all to witness the adaptability of Giti tyres to the different demands of the circuit.

“It is an honour for Giti to contribute to and witness the growth of the young racers at the 2025 FRMEC and F4ME,” commented Ms Shiroo Chia, Deputy General Manager, Rest of World Marketing at Giti Tire, when addressing the importance of these races to Giti. “As these racers climb the ranks to higher levels of races, Giti is also driven to improve our performance and join them in realising higher levels of motorsport excellence.”

Closing an exhilarating season opener, British talent, Freddie Slater from the Mumbai Falcons, took home the FRMEC win, while Emanuele Olivieri clinched the win in the F4ME. While these individual successes are praiseworthy, the season has only started, with honours to be strongly challenged on both the individual and team fronts.
