Buzz arrived in Johannesburg late in the evening, followed by an early start the next morning with the first presentation at Tiger Wheel & Tyre, the official partner of Giti Tire in South Africa. The visit was marked by an open and professional exchange, highlighting the strength of the partnership.
After a short stretch on the highway, the second appointment of the day led to Maxion Wheels. The facility primarily produces aluminum wheels for the VW Polo manufactured in South Africa. Gaining insight into the local production processes and the high level of manufacturing expertise offered a compelling perspective on the region’s industrial capabilities.
The final stop took place at Kühne + Nagel South Africa, the logistics partner responsible for shipping the vehicle to Durban. The personal visit provided an opportunity to acknowledge the successful cooperation and reflect on the logistics behind this important milestone.
In the evening, a brief charging stop at a 150 kW GridCars station ensured an efficient conclusion to a structured and intensive day.
